Shadow was the creation of Gerald Robotnik in space colony ark hired by GUN to make a super weapon for military purposes. Shadow had a freind called Maria Robotnik they both wished to go Earth. Maria had a condition that she couldn't breath on Earth so shadow and her were always being tested on so Maria could breath and Shadow to be more powerful than he was. GUN got impatient and told Gerald that to stop what he was doing and surrender because they were going to invade the station but he didn't so they arrested him killed Maria who put Shadow in a escape tube that sent him to Earth where he stayed in a lab until now. Dr Eggman/Robotnik freed Shadow and played the events of SA2. FUN FACT: Shadow is the same speed as Sonic. In the game Shadow The Hedghog he learns that his creator used alien blood to make him and the Master Emeralds power so that same alien came and tricked Shadow into thinking it could bring back Maria but it didn't so Shadow killed it, voice actors for shadow
